Job Title

Staff/Principal Product Owner, Smart Manufacturing & AI

Role Summary

Lead definition, prioritization and delivery of end-to-end smart manufacturing solutions that apply AI, machine learning and automation to improve manufacturing yield, quality, test coverage and system performance. Partner with Test Solutions, Product Engineering, Global Quality and data teams to turn domain problems into validated production solutions.

Focus area includes Global Quality initiatives and projects that integrate data engineering, ML, solution architecture and product management.

Experience Level

Senior-level. The posting specifies at least 5 years of experience in the semiconductor industry, preferably with experience in assembly, test and product quality/reliability (HBM, DRAM, NAND).

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Define, drive and deliver end-to-end smart manufacturing products and pilots, from concept through production rollout.
  • Conceptualize, prototype and productize AI and big-data solutions to address yield, quality, test and system-level problems.
  • Lead or participate in cross-functional project teams: Data Scientists, ML Engineers, Data Engineers, Solution Architects and domain owners.
  • Translate business needs into clear requirements, user stories and acceptance criteria for technical teams; produce wireframes and prototypes as needed.
  • Identify data sources and gaps; specify data requirements to Solution Architects and Data Engineers.
  • Develop business cases and quantify impact (NPV/ROI); prioritize projects based on business value.
  • Define success metrics (usage, time saved, adoption, forecast accuracy, NPV, etc.) and supervise outcome validation in production.
  • Manage Agile artifacts and tooling (features, epics, stories, sprint planning, Jira/Confluence dashboards).
  • Ensure solutions meet enterprise standards for data governance, security, scalability and platform alignment.

Requirements

Must-have and desirable qualifications:

  • Must-have: Minimum 5 years' semiconductor industry experience, ideally in assembly, test or product quality/reliability for HBM, DRAM or NAND.
  • Must-have: Strong analytical and conceptual problem-solving skills; excellent communication, planning and time-management abilities.
  • Must-have: Experience translating user requirements into business requirement specifications, user stories and acceptance criteria; ability to influence stakeholders.
  • Must-have: Experience managing Agile processes and tools (Jira, Confluence) and tracking project progress with dashboards.
  • Nice-to-have: Prior exposure to data science, machine learning operations (MLOps), data flow management and cloud platforms.
  • Nice-to-have: In-depth domain knowledge of product, probe, assembly and test flows for NAND/DRAM/HBM.
  • Desired mindset: Results oriented, growth mindset, iterative product-owner approach (fail fast, experiment, business-first prioritization).

Education Requirements

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science or a related field (as stated in the posting).
