Staff / Principal Engineer β NAND Product Development Engineer
Role Summary
Lead end-to-end NAND product development, directing cross-functional teams to deliver NAND technologies from silicon to system. Define and execute product development strategy, schedules, and cross-organizational alignment to achieve competitive time-to-market.
Experience Level
Senior β requires at least 5 years of experience in the semiconductor industry or equivalent experience.
Responsibilities
Accountable for planning, execution, and cross-functional alignment of NAND product development programs.
- Own NAND development schedules and drive development execution across multi-functional teams.
- Define NAND deliverables and sample delivery timelines aligned with system development.
- Drive system-level integration of NAND technology with Technology Development and Design Engineering.
- Provide cross-functional leadership with Product Engineering, Business Units, Supply Chain, Fab, Assembly, and Test.
- Represent product engineering in reviews and development forums; influence decisions and align stakeholders.
- Build development schedules from pre-silicon planning through successful NAND qualification and sample delivery.
- Ensure NAND technical inputs and limitations are considered for Build-at-Risk and parallel development models.
- Lead complex problem solving across NAND-system interactions to resolve issues and maintain program momentum.
- Use AI and automation tools to create tooling, accelerate workflows, and support problem solving.
Requirements
Must-have technical and leadership skills for immediate contribution; preferred items listed after.
- Proven track record in semiconductor product development and program execution across cross-functional teams.
- Deep knowledge of NAND device behavior, design, and/or system firmware/design.
- Strong leadership, communication, organizational, and analytical problem-solving skills.
- Experience coordinating execution with fab, assembly, test, supply chain, and business stakeholders.
- Familiarity with AI platforms (e.g., Claude, Copilot) or demonstrated interest in applying AI to engineering workflows.
- Ability to balance technical, operational, and business priorities and drive aligned decisions.
- Nice-to-have: prior experience leading large product development programs or serving as a development team lead.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline. The posting also specifies at least 5 years of semiconductor-industry experience or equivalent experience.
