Job Title

Staff/Principal DRAM Design Engineer

Role Summary

Hands-on senior design engineer responsible for DRAM circuit and microarchitecture design from concept through silicon validation. The role focuses on circuit optimization, simulation-driven verification, and cross-functional integration to meet power, performance, and manufacturability targets.

Experience Level

Senior-level - Staff/Principal role. Minimum technical experience expectation: 5+ years of circuit design or product engineering experience.

Responsibilities

The engineer will lead circuit design, simulation, validation, and manufacturability activities for DRAM products.

  • Lead design and optimization of DRAM circuits: memory array, control logic, datapath, and test logic.
  • Perform and analyze circuit simulations using SPICE, Verilog, and related tools.
  • Evaluate architectural trade-offs affecting power, performance, and die size.
  • Integrate layout parasitics into simulations and drive design-for-manufacturability decisions.
  • Define and execute validation strategies including test-chip development and silicon bring-up.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and experience; preferred items listed separately.

  • Must-have: 5+ years of circuit design or product engineering experience in semiconductor circuits.
  • Must-have: Strong understanding of analog and digital circuit fundamentals and debugging methodologies.
  • Must-have: Experience with circuit simulation tools and methodologies (SPICE, Verilog).
  • Must-have: Knowledge of CMOS behavior, timing, and performance optimization.
  • Nice-to-have: Experience with DRAM memory architectures, array design, and sense amplifiers.
  • Nice-to-have: Familiarity with DFT/DFM concepts and semiconductor test flows.
  • Nice-to-have: Experience working with layout parasitics and advanced process nodes.
  • Nice-to-have: Clear cross-team communication skills and interest or experience applying AI tools to engineering workflows.
