Role Summary
Join Micron's Memory Design Group CAD team to develop, validate, and support physical-design verification flows and EDA tool integrations that improve productivity, reliability, and time-to-market for CMOS memory products. The role collaborates with design, layout, verification, and process teams and includes production support, tool development, and flow optimization.

Responsibilities
Own development, evaluation, and support of physical-design verification tools and flows; collaborate with internal customers to improve efficiency and quality.
- Develop tools, flows, and methodologies to increase memory design productivity and reliability.
- Integrate commercial EDA tools into physical design and verification flows.
- Provide training, documentation, and hands-on support to design, layout, verification, and process teams.
- Research and develop next-generation CAD software to meet product needs.
- Identify deficiencies in current tools/flows and propose improvements to reduce cost and cycle time.
- Evaluate EDA vendor products and define candidate flows for internal validation.
- Develop, maintain, and support engineering infrastructure used by design teams.

- Must-have: Strong programming fundamentals; experience with Unix and shell scripting.
- Must-have: Practical knowledge of CMOS circuits, deep-submicron physical design, CMOS manufacturing, and layout design rules.
- Must-have: Experience debugging, enhancing, or supporting in-house or commercial EDA tools and flows for physical layout.
- Nice-to-have: Experience with layout flows and tools such as Calibre DRC/LVS, floorplanning, automated P&R, and SPF extraction.
- Nice-to-have: Familiarity with design simulation tools and languages (Verilog, Verilog-A, ncverilog, VCS, Spice/FastSpice, FineSim/PrimeSim, HSPICE).
- Nice-to-have: Experience with RTL-to-GDS flows, Cadence Virtuoso DFII and SKILL programming.
- Nice-to-have: Proficiency with Python and Python Qt frameworks.
