Staff GenAI Engineer - Silicon Design
Role Summary
Design and deliver AI-driven automation and CAD solutions that accelerate memory circuit design, validation, and tapeout. Partner with design, layout, CAD, and product teams to reduce manual work, improve design quality, and shorten delivery cycles.

Responsibilities
Core responsibilities focus on building scalable automation, CAD methodologies, and software frameworks to improve productivity and design outcomes.
- Develop automation solutions for layout generation, floor planning, analog/mixed-signal (AMS) and power distribution network (PDN).
- Create scalable CAD methodologies to improve design quality and engineer productivity.
- Build software frameworks that integrate commercial EDA tools and design workflows.
- Automate analysis, debugging, optimization, and design-space exploration processes.
- Collaborate with design, CAD, verification, layout, and product teams to deploy solutions into production flows.
- Apply AI and analytics to accelerate design convergence and closure.
Requirements
Must-have technical experience and skills for immediate contribution.
- Minimum five years experience in CAD, layout, AMS, PDN, or EDA tools and flows.
- Strong programming skills in Python, Tcl, C++ or similar languages; experience delivering production-quality software.
- Experience developing production-quality automation tools and CAD methodologies.
- Working knowledge of floor planning, layout, AMS, or power integrity.
- Experience using commercial EDA tools within semiconductor design flows.
Nice-to-have:
- Experience with memory design, custom layouts, or advanced-node technologies.
- Expertise in layout automation, floorplanning, AMS, or PDN methodologies.
- Experience applying AI or machine learning to design automation workflows.
- Familiarity with Synopsys, Cadence, Siemens, or equivalent EDA platforms.
- Proven collaboration across design, CAD, verification, and product teams.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field is required. A Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred.
