Role Summary

Join Micron's Customer Engineering team as a staff-level field applications engineer focused on datacenter DRAM. You will be the primary technical advisor to datacenter customers, responsible for driving design wins, qualifying memory solutions, and supporting deployment and validation activities.

The role requires collaboration with sales, product, and engineering teams to resolve system-level issues and influence product direction for memory and compute-focused solutions.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include technical customer engagement, system-level troubleshooting, and support for qualification and deployment.

  • Drive design wins and product qualification for DRAM, HBM, SSD, and compute-focused solutions.
  • Partner with sales and cross-functional teams to execute customer plans and track progress.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve system configuration, setup, and performance issues in customer environments.
  • Advise customers on memory architecture, system configuration, and optimization for cloud/datacenter workloads.
  • Support validation and deployment via lab activities, design reviews, and system-level testing.
  • Apply AI tools and AI-enabled workflows where applicable to improve analysis and customer outcomes.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and experience; preferred items listed where noted.

  • 5+ years experience in design, product, test, systems, or applications engineering with DRAM, HBM, SSD, or compute systems.
  • Experience with server architecture, hardware design, or system-level troubleshooting.
  • Knowledge of memory interfaces and memory usage in server environments.
  • Strong problem-solving and debugging skills using lab tools such as oscilloscopes or logic analyzers.
  • Nice-to-have: experience with datacenter server management and logging tools (e.g., BMC, EMC, EDAC); background in quality and reliability engineering; customer-facing communication skills; willingness to travel.

Education Requirements
