Role Summary

Senior product engineer responsible for product bring-up, sustaining high-volume manufacturing, and resolving complex electrical and physical failures for NAND and SSD products. Works within global Product Engineering and cross-functional teams to drive yield, reliability, and qualification for product ramps.

Experience Level

Senior level β€” requires 7+ years of relevant experience in SSD/NAND, product engineering, or a related field.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include leading product bring-up, failure analysis, and cross-functional problem resolution to ensure on-time product ramp and sustained manufacturing.

  • Lead product bring-up and sustainment for NAND and SSD products in high-volume manufacturing.
  • Own end-to-end yield improvement, failure analysis, and data-driven optimization initiatives.
  • Perform advanced electrical and physical failure analysis and lead root-cause resolution for complex component and system issues.
  • Troubleshoot customer returns and define scalable corrective and preventive actions.
  • Collaborate with global Product Engineering teams on test flows, validation strategies, and customer qualification plans.
  • Lead cross-functional task forces to resolve qualification gating issues and ensure on-time product ramps.
  • Mentor and provide technical leadership to junior engineers.

Requirements

  • Minimum 7+ years of relevant experience in SSD/NAND or product engineering roles.
  • Strong background in computer hardware and storage interfaces (PCIe, SATA, SAS).
  • Deep knowledge of NAND/SSD device operation, interfaces, and product development lifecycle.
  • Proven expertise in failure analysis, yield improvement, and data analytics.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills for complex technical challenges.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills with ability to influence global cross-functional teams.
  • Self-motivated, with ownership, leadership qualities, and mentoring experience.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or Computer Engineering.
