Staff Engineer, Scribe Design Product Owner

Role Summary

The product owner for scribe design who serves as the primary technical link between customers, partners, and internal design teams. Responsible for defining requirements, guiding execution, and ensuring scribe designs are delivered with quality from request through tape‑out.

The Scribe Design team translates device and manufacturing requirements into mask‑level test structures that provide insight and drive quality across fabrication and tapeout processes.

Experience Level

Senior — role expects significant experience; source lists 8+ years in circuit design, layout, or verification.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities for the product owner:

• Act as primary interface to customers and partners throughout the design cycle.
• Translate design requests into clear, single‑source documentation for build execution.
• Ensure scribe designs meet technical requirements, internal standards, and schedules.
• Coordinate resourcing and execution across scribe design functional teams.
• Partner with Mask Technology and Tapeout teams to ensure smooth data handoffs.

Requirements

Must-have technical experience and skills; preferred items listed separately.

• 8+ years of experience in circuit design, layout, or verification using Cadence and Calibre for layout, DRC, and LVS.
• Experience managing multiple layout projects through full quality checks.
• Experience with mask procurement and wafer fabrication process flow.

Nice-to-have / preferred:

• Understanding of test structure design and parasitic impact on measurements.
• Familiarity with device characterization and test efficiency tradeoffs.
• Experience supporting test chip, alpha, or derivative programs.
• Ability to coordinate with global teams across time zones and strong written and verbal communication skills.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in science or engineering or equivalent practical experience (degree fields implied: engineering, physical sciences). Equivalent practical experience accepted.
