Staff Engineer, Reliability Engineering
Role Summary
Staff Engineer on the Reliability Hardware & Systems Development team responsible for designing, validating, and maintaining hardware and systems used for semiconductor reliability testing. Works cross-functionally with product, reliability, and software teams to deliver test fixtures, burn-in systems, and stress solutions for new and existing products.

Responsibilities
Key day-to-day responsibilities include:
- Design and develop high-power burn-in systems and custom burn-in boards (BIBs) and test fixtures.
- Design reliability stress hardware for HTOL, HAST, HTOB, PTC and maintain associated documentation.
- Define requirements and required tools/equipment in collaboration with product and reliability engineering teams.
- Collaborate with systems software engineers to ensure software compatibility and system integration.
- Perform testing and validation to verify compliance with requirements.
- Perform root-cause analysis and troubleshooting of hardware defects using 8D or equivalent processes and drive corrective/preventive actions.
- Identify and apply methods to improve efficiency and capability of existing systems and hardware.
- Maintain professional development to keep current with advances in systems and hardware engineering.

- Proven ability in development and validation of hardware and systems for semiconductor reliability testing.
- Hands-on experience with burn-in, environmental, and reliability stress test chambers and related hardware.
- Familiarity with reliability testing industry standards (JEDEC, IPC).
- Strong troubleshooting skills and experience driving root-cause investigations.
- Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and deliver on schedule.
- Effective cross-functional communication and collaboration skills.
- Willingness to travel approximately 10% of the time.
- First shift / day shift availability.
Nice-to-have:
- Experience with high-power module burn-in systems.
- Experience working in fast-paced environments and adapting to changing technologies.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills for technical documentation.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's (B.S.) or Master’s (M.S.) degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field, plus 7+ years of experience in hardware engineering and/or reliability (as stated in the posting).
