Staff Engineer, Quality Assurance
Role Summary
Own product reliability and quality for integrated circuits from development through production. Work with cross-functional engineering teams to plan and execute reliability qualification, failure analysis, and risk mitigation for new products and quality incidents.
Experience Level
Level: Senior. Requires 8+ years of experience in reliability engineering for integrated circuits or semiconductor components.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include planning and executing reliability activities and driving corrective actions.
- Coordinate reliability qualification, test scheduling, and data analysis for NPI, ORT, and quality incidents.
- Lead failure analysis and recommend corrective and preventative actions.
- Prepare and present qualification plans and reports for internal teams and customers.
- Investigate reliability issues, identify root causes, and support risk assessments.
- Collaborate with global cross-functional teams to drive risk mitigation and resolution.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and professional abilities.
- 8+ years of hands-on experience in reliability engineering for integrated circuits or semiconductor components.
- Practical knowledge of IC reliability test methodologies (HTOL, ELFR, HTDR/LTDR, ESD/LU, uHAST, TCT, HTSL, BHAST, etc.).
- Understanding of physical failure mechanisms, reliability acceleration models, and statistical analysis.
- Experience with failure analysis techniques and preparing qualification reports.
- Familiarity with industry standards such as JEDEC families and AEC-Q100/Q006.
- Ability to manage multiple projects independently in a fast-paced, global environment.
- Strong written and verbal English communication and experience collaborating with global teams.
Education Requirements
MS or PhD in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Physics, Material Science, or a related field. The role expects a minimum of 8+ years of relevant reliability engineering experience; equivalent practical experience was not specified.
