Staff Engineer - HBM Verification
Role Summary
Lead verification strategy and execution for complex full‑chip memory designs, with emphasis on High Bandwidth Memory (HBM) and emerging memory architectures. Work with global design and verification teams to ensure functional correctness, coverage closure, and timely delivery.
Experience Level
Senior - 8+ years of pre‑silicon verification experience as stated in the posting.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include technical leadership of verification activities, development of verification environments, and improving verification efficiency through automation.
- Lead verification planning and execution for complex full‑chip memory designs.
- Develop, enhance, and maintain verification environments, testbenches, test cases, and stimuli for HBM and emerging memory architectures.
- Perform pre‑silicon simulation, debug, coverage analysis, and root‑cause investigations to ensure functional correctness.
- Collaborate with global design and verification teams to refine methodologies, flows, and automation solutions.
- Apply AI‑assisted automation techniques to improve verification workflows, data analysis, and engineering productivity.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and experience required for the role.
- 8+ years of experience in pre‑silicon verification.
- Experience establishing, developing, and simulating verification environments and testbenches.
- Strong understanding of digital circuits, simulation methodologies, debugging techniques, and design evaluation.
- Experience creating test cases and stimuli to increase functional coverage and support verification closure.
- Nice-to-have: experience with UVM, DFT features and scan chains, timing analysis and critical path evaluation, end‑to‑end verification ownership for complex full‑chip custom designs, and experience collaborating with distributed engineering teams.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree or Master's degree in Electronics Engineering or a related field (as stated in the posting).
