Job Title

Staff Engineer β€” Digital ASIC & Signal Processing Chip Architect / Systems Engineer

Role Summary

Join a mixed-signal and SDR chip development team to define digital architecture, system-level signal processing, and lead IC programs from concept through tape-out and validation. Work with analog, RF, firmware, and software teams to deliver cohesive SoC and system solutions.

Experience Level

Senior level. The role expects 10+ years of professional experience, including at least 5 years in digital IC design.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include:

  • Define and drive digital architecture and system partitioning for mixed-signal ICs and SDR chips, including digital accelerators and subsystems.
  • Collaborate with analog, RF, firmware, and software teams to ensure cohesive SoC and system-level design.
  • Capture, maintain, and validate stakeholder requirements throughout the program lifecycle.
  • Support IC development from concept through tape-out, lab bring-up, and system validation.
  • Mentor engineers and promote technical excellence within the team.
  • Monitor industry and technology trends to inform architecture and product direction.
  • Engage with customers and ecosystem partners to define future SDR and mixed-signal system requirements.

Requirements

Must-have skills and experience:

  • 10+ years professional experience, with a minimum of 5 years in digital IC design.
  • Proven expertise in digital signal processing, RTL design, and digital architecture.
  • Strong knowledge of firmware/embedded software, radio architecture, microprocessor subsystems, and DSP cores.
  • Experience with hardware/software co-design and SoC integration/verification methodologies.
  • System-level modeling and simulation experience (examples: MATLAB, SystemVerilog, Python).
  • Understanding of signal processing for high-speed ADCs/DACs, SerDes, and high-speed interfaces.
  • Ability to capture and document technical requirements and communicate effectively in writing and verbally.

Nice-to-have:

  • Prior experience with SDR products, mixed-signal system architecture, or customer-facing architecture roles.
  • Hands-on involvement in tape-out cycles, lab bring-up, or silicon validation at the system level.

Education Requirements
