Staff Engineer, ASIC STA

Role Summary

Senior engineering role responsible for synthesis, static timing analysis (STA), logic equivalence checking (LEC), and timing closure for ASIC designs. The role works on complex hierarchical and mixed-signal IP integrations, low-power multi-domain builds, and multi-GHz timing challenges.

Works within a global, cross-functional engineering organization in the Bengaluru office to deliver silicon-ready timing signoff and automation for production-quality designs.

Experience Level

Senior-level. Minimum of 6+ years of relevant ASIC/ST A engineering experience.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include:

• Perform synthesis, STA, and LEC to verify design timing and functionality.
• Develop timing constraints and timing models for complex IP and full-chip flows.
• Drive synthesis to timing closure and ensure all checks for silicon success.
• Integrate and validate mixed-signal and complex IP blocks in hierarchical designs.
• Analyze and fix critical paths in multi-GHz designs.
• Support low-power builds involving multiple power domains and power-aware timing.
• Automate flows and scripting for EDA tools to increase throughput and repeatability.
• Collaborate with multi-functional, globally distributed teams to meet project schedules.

Requirements

Must-have qualifications and skills:

• Minimum 6+ years of relevant ASIC timing/synthesis experience.
• Proven track record delivering complex timing-closure builds for silicon.
• Strong hands-on experience with synthesis, STA, and LEC flows and EDA tools.
• Experience with hierarchical designs and high-frequency clocking strategies.
• Experience with low-power design techniques across multiple power domains.
• Proficient in scripting and automation to support EDA flows.
• Ability to work effectively in cross-functional and global teams.

Nice-to-have:

• Experience with AI or AI-enabled workflows applied to EDA/verification tasks.

Education Requirements

M.S./M.Tech or B.S./B.E. in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field.
