Job Title
Staff Engineer, ASIC AMS Verification
Role Summary
Join a high-speed DDR & ONFI PHY design and verification team working on advanced technology nodes. Lead mixed-signal verification for IP and subsystems, including UVM-AMS integration, behavioral modeling, and full-chip mixed-signal co-simulation.
Experience Level
Senior β 5+ years of relevant ASIC verification experience.
Responsibilities
Accountable for planning, developing, and signing off verification for PHY IP and subsystems.
- Create verification plans and implement metric-driven UVM and mixed-signal testbenches.
- Design and integrate UVM-AMS verification environments with mixed-signal simulators.
- Author Real Number Models (RNM) or Verilog-AMS behavioral models to replace SPICE blocks for faster chip-level verification.
- Bring up and support top-level gate-level simulations, power-aware verification (UPF/CPF), and mixed-signal co-simulations.
- Perform RTL debugging, scoreboarding, and code-coverage analysis to validate functionality and interfaces.
- Lead, mentor, and coach junior engineers; collaborate closely with digital and analog designers.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and experience for successful performance in this role.
- Strong experience with logic simulation, UVM, and testbench development.
- Proven experience with AMS (analog/mixed-signal) simulations and mixed-signal co-simulation flows.
- Expertise in SystemVerilog and Verilog; familiarity with SystemVerilog wreal/EEnet or Verilog-AMS for behavioral modeling.
- RTL debugging, scoreboarding, and code-coverage analysis experience.
- Knowledge of DDR/LPDDR JEDEC, NAND ONFI, and DFI protocols and their verification challenges.
- Experience modeling and validating complex analog circuits in behavioral languages (SystemVerilog/Verilog-AMS).
- Leadership experience: guiding verification efforts and mentoring junior engineers.
Education Requirements
Required: M.S./M.Tech or BS/BE in Electronics (or equivalent degree in a related electrical/engineering field as listed in the original posting).
