Role Summary

Member of the Applications Engineering team based in Hyderabad responsible for helping customers integrate and adopt Synopsys tools and solutions. The role focuses on technical customer engagement, troubleshooting complex issues, and working with product and engineering teams to drive resolutions.

Typical activities include delivering demonstrations and proofs-of-concept, reproducing and diagnosing problems, and providing technical guidance to customers and field teams.

Responsibilities

The role requires customer-facing technical engineering, cross-functional collaboration, and ownership of issue resolution. Key responsibilities include:

• Provide advanced technical support and troubleshooting for customers using Synopsys products.
• Develop and deliver product demonstrations, proofs-of-concept, and example flows.
• Reproduce issues, work with R&D to prioritize fixes, and validate solutions.
• Create technical documentation, runbooks, and knowledge-transfer materials.
• Collaborate with sales, field, QA, and product teams to define customer requirements and solution approaches.
• Automate diagnostic and repro steps using scripting or available tool APIs.

• Must-have: Proven experience in applications engineering, technical/customer-facing engineering, or similar roles.
• Must-have: Strong debugging and problem-solving skills with complex software or toolchains.

• Nice-to-have: Background in semiconductor, EDA tools, or ASIC/SoC flows.
• Nice-to-have: Scripting or automation skills (e.g., Python, shell, TCL).
