Staff Engineer, Analog Layout
Role Summary
As Staff Analog Layout Engineer you will lead layout efforts for high-speed connectivity, broadband analog, and data-transport products. You will own chip and macro layouts, coordinate cross-functional teams, and drive designs from planning through tape-out to volume production.

Senior — typically 5+ years of related professional experience.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include leading layout work for analog/mixed-signal ICs and coordinating project delivery.
- Own chip and macro layout and perform top-level integrations.
- Manage overall project schedule, engaging design leads and layout manager as needed.
- Represent layout on cross-functional teams and lead layout contributors, including remote design teams.
- Define and enforce project-specific layout guidelines and review team deliverables.
- Contribute to tool testing, script development, flow documentation, and training.
- Monitor process and tool developments and introduce improvements to the flow.
Requirements
Key skills and experience required or strongly preferred.
- Proven record laying out high-performance analog circuits in advanced CMOS processes and delivering products to volume production.
- Deep understanding of layout methodology from initial chip planning to tape-out.
- Expertise in parasitic extraction and parasitic-aware layout optimization.
- High proficiency interpreting Calibre DRC, ERC, and LVS reports.
- High-level proficiency with Synopsys or Cadence layout entry tools.
- Scripting/programming skills (examples: SKILL, Ample, Perl) are a plus.
- Strong technical and analytical problem-solving skills; effective English communication; team player.
- Experience with advanced process technologies; FinFET experience is preferred.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field (as specified in the posting).
