Job Title

Staff Engineer, Analog IC Design

Role Summary

Lead development of high-speed, high-performance SerDes and related analog IP in advanced process nodes (5nm, 3nm and beyond) within the Analog IC Design group. Responsible for circuit design, handoff to layout, and supporting characterization, validation and product integration.

Work focuses on IP that enables high-speed interconnects for enterprise, cloud, AI and carrier systems.

Experience Level

Senior level. Typical experience: approximately 4–8 years of industry experience.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Lead SerDes and high-speed analog IP development for advanced nodes (5nm, 3nm and beyond).
  • Architect and design analog IP such as SerDes (including PAM4), DDR, die-to-die interconnects, system PLLs, bandgap, IVREF and other analog circuits.
  • Prepare design specifications and provide detailed instructions to layout engineers.
  • Develop characterization and validation plans in collaboration with applications/AE teams.
  • Support IP lab characterization, debugging, product integration, and customer support.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and experience:

  • Proven experience in high-speed analog mixed-signal design for advanced TSMC process nodes (5nm and below).
  • Strong SerDes design background; PAM4 SerDes experience highly desired.
  • Experience with DDR and die-to-die high-speed interconnects preferred.
  • Hands-on IP characterization and lab debugging experience.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with layout, validation, product and customer teams.

Nice-to-have:

  • Experience designing system PLLs, bandgap references, and IVREF circuits.
  • Prior experience with IP productization and customer-facing support.

Education Requirements
