Job Title
Staff Engineer - Analog Design
Role Summary
Design and deliver complex analog power-management IP and mixed-signal circuits for advanced memory products. The role owns circuit design, layout, verification, and tape-out activities and works within cross-functional teams (process, test, product engineering) to ensure manufacturability.
This is a technical senior/staff engineering role focused on analog design and layout in advanced semiconductor process nodes.
Experience Level
Senior-level (Staff Engineer). Years of experience: Not specified.
Responsibilities
Deliver analog IP and support the physical implementation and validation of designs for advanced memory products.
- Design, implement, and optimize analog power-management IPs (bandgap, voltage/current references, regulators, charge-pumps, CMOS amplifiers, comparators).
- Perform parasitic-aware design, modeling, and verification; support design validation and reticle experiments leading to tape-outs.
- Manage layout activities including floor-planning, placement, routing, and layout sign-off.
- Run modeling and simulation-based verification using industry-standard tools.
- Collaborate with Marketing, Probe, Assembly, Test, Process Integration, and Product Engineering to ensure manufacturability and product readiness.
- Coordinate with Standards, CAD, modeling, and verification teams to improve design quality and reuse.
- Drive innovation for next-generation memory products and incorporate AI-assisted techniques where applicable.
Requirements
Core technical skills and abilities required for successful performance.
Must-have:
- Proven experience designing analog power-management IPs (bandgaps, references, regulators, charge pumps, amplifiers, comparators) in advanced process nodes.
- Hands-on experience with physical implementation: floor-planning, placement, routing, and preparing designs for tape-out.
- Experience with parasitic modeling, circuit-level verification, and simulation-driven validation.
- Track record of working with cross-functional teams (process, test, product engineering) to bring products to manufacturing.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to solicit and integrate feedback from standards/CAD/modeling teams.
Nice-to-have:
- Experience specifically on DRAM or advanced memory product IPs.
- Familiarity with reticle experiments and iterative tape-out flows.
- Experience applying AI/ML techniques to design or verification tasks.
Education Requirements
Not specified.
