Job Title

Staff Engineer, Analog Design

Role Summary

Design and micro-architect analog and IO circuits for interface IP used in AI, automotive, HPC, IoT, and space applications. Work on transistor-level topology, simulation, reliability analysis, and collaborate with layout and foundry teams to deliver manufacturable, high‑performance IP across advanced process nodes.

Experience Level

Senior — 2 to 6 years of hands-on analog, IO, or mixed-signal circuit design experience.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include circuit architecture, validation, and cross-functional delivery of IO and analog IP.

  • Design and micro-architect analog/IO circuits from specifications (GPIOs, I2C/I3C, SD‑eMMC PHY, SPI, UART, RFFE, etc.).
  • Develop circuit topologies to meet performance, power, and area (PPA) targets across nodes from sub-2nm GAA to 55nm bulk.
  • Perform transistor-level simulations, detailed network analysis, and corner validation.
  • Conduct reliability analysis including ESD, latch-up, aging, and stress testing to meet automotive, space, and industrial standards.
  • Collaborate with layout teams to minimize parasitics and ensure manufacturability.
  • Work with foundry PDKs and process teams to align designs with process capabilities and constraints.
  • Improve design methodologies and flows to reduce turnaround and improve quality.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and practical experience to perform the role; nice-to-have items that improve fit are listed separately.

Must-have

  • 2 to 6 years of hands-on analog, IO, or mixed-signal circuit design experience.
  • Deep understanding of analog circuit techniques: amplifiers, references, regulators, comparators, and interface circuits.
  • Strong semiconductor device physics knowledge and ability to assess transistor-level effects across process nodes.
  • Proficiency with SPICE-style simulation tools (HSPICE, Spectre, or equivalent).
  • Experience in network analysis and corner-case validation.
  • Experience with design reliability analysis (ESD, latch-up, aging, stress testing).
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with layout and foundry teams to ensure manufacturability.

Nice-to-have

  • Familiarity with IO standards (I2C, I3C, SPI, SD, MIPI, UART, RFFE, SD‑eMMC).
  • Experience across advanced nodes (GAA, GAE, FinFET, FDSOI) and top foundries.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
