Staff Digital Engineer

Role Summary

The Staff Digital Engineer will define, develop, verify, and optimize complex digital circuits for low-power mixed-signal applications. This role requires collaboration with system design to create digital specifications and involves implementing design for testability features to support hardware testing.

Experience Level

Mid-level; 4+ years of industry experience in digital integrated circuit design is required.

Responsibilities

The key responsibilities include:

• Defining, developing, verifying, and optimizing digital circuits.
• Designing digital hardware functions using SystemVerilog, Verilog, or VHDL.
• Supporting constraints definition, logic synthesis, and physical design for timing closure.
• Creating verification plans and testbenches for functional verification and simulations.
• Supporting silicon lab evaluation, performance characterization, and debugging.
• Providing technical support to various engineering teams.

Requirements

Must-have qualifications include:

• B.S. or M.S. in Electrical or Computer Engineering.
• Strong analytical, synthesis, and problem-solving skills.
• Solid knowledge in digital IC development and low-power techniques.
• Proficiency in SystemVerilog/Verilog/VHDL and scripting languages like Python.
• Experience with standard hardware protocols (I2C, SPI, etc.).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Nice-to-have qualifications include:

• Digital development for mixed-signal ICs.
• Hands-on experience with FPGA and various development boards.
• Experience with system design methods and tools, such as Matlab.

Education Requirements

B.S. or M.S. in Electrical or Computer Engineering is required.
