Role Summary
The Staff DFT Solutions Engineer will be part of the Synopsys Test Group, specializing in Design for Test (DFT) technology within the semiconductor industry. The role involves developing, automating, and validating DFT flows and methodologies to enhance the performance and reliability of testing solutions.
Experience Level
Mid-level; requires a minimum of 3 years of experience in DFT and relevant technologies.
Responsibilities
The Staff DFT Solutions Engineer will be responsible for:
- Developing detailed test plans and automating test cases using Verilog, System Verilog, or VHDL.
- Reviewing specifications and collaborating with teams to implement scalable DFT solutions.
- Conducting Quality of Results (QOR) analysis and troubleshooting complex issues.
- Architecting solutions for DFT compression, ATPG, Memory and Logic BIST.
- Enhancing tool reliability through diagnostics analysis.
- Working with AI agents to create AI-driven documentation for test products.
Requirements
Applicants should possess:
- A Bachelor's, Master's, or MTech in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Hands-on expertise in DFT technologies such as JTAG, MBIST, and Scan.
- Proficiency in RTL coding (Verilog, System Verilog, VHDL).
- Advanced scripting skills in languages like Perl, Tcl/Tk, or Python.
- Understanding of ASIC design flow and collaboration tools like Perforce.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's, Master's, or MTech degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
