Role Summary
The Reality Labs team at Meta is focused on creating products that enhance connections among people. As a Silicon Validation Engineer, you will help validate high-performance silicon and ensure high-quality silicon delivery, working closely with cross-functional teams.
Experience Level
Mid-level, with at least 2 years of relevant experience.
Responsibilities
The key responsibilities of the Silicon Validation Engineer include:
- Developing, executing, and signing off on SoC validation plans.
- Identifying and communicating technical risks associated with projects.
- Participating in silicon bring-up and validation activities.
- Collaborating with teams on lab debugging, silicon bug reproduction, and failure analysis.
- Working with various cross-functional teams to generate validation reports.
- Adapting to changes in validation plans based on an agile environment.
Requirements
Must-have qualifications include:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical field or equivalent practical experience, to be completed before joining Meta.
- 2+ years of hands-on experience in complex SoC debug and validation.
- Knowledge of high-speed protocols (i.e., MIPI, PCIe, USB, DDR) and experience in high-speed IO bring-up.
- Experience in silicon validation planning, execution, and sign-off.
- Proficiency in using lab equipment (scopes, BERTs, protocol analyzers, JTAG debuggers).
- Experience with building silicon validation infrastructure and test automation.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a relevant technical field.
