Role Summary
As a Silicon Emulation Engineer at Meta, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and validating complex silicon systems, including ASICs and SoCs. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality silicon solutions that cater to the needs of our customers.
Experience Level
Mid-level, requiring at least 2 years of relevant experience.
Responsibilities
Your main responsibilities will include:
- Assisting in the development, execution, and sign-off of SoC and end-to-end system validation plans.
- Identifying and communicating technical risks related to the project to stakeholders.
- Participating in silicon bring-up and validation activities.
- Understanding system HW/SW/FW components and aiding in test execution and debug.
- Collaborating on lab debug, silicon bug reproduction, failure analysis, and reporting.
- Adapting to changes in roadmaps and validation plans as necessary.
- Developing emulation testbenches and executing emulation test plans.
- Driving emulation methodologies for HW verification and SW development.
- Debugging interfaces such as PCIe.
- Creating components for validation efficiency in testing and automation.
Requirements
The position requires:
- A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a relevant technical field (must be completed prior to joining).
- 2+ years of experience with complex SoC validation.
- Experience with high-speed protocols (e.g., MIPI, PCIe, USB, DDR) and high-speed IO.
- Hands-on experience in silicon validation planning and execution.
- Familiarity with lab equipment such as scopes and protocol analyzers.
- Experience in building silicon validation infrastructure and test automation.
Education Requirements
A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a relevant technical field is required.
