Staff Design Verification Engineer

Role Summary

Senior Design Verification Engineer on the Analog and Digital-RF team responsible for developing and executing verification plans and environments to validate complex semiconductor designs.

Work includes creating SystemVerilog/UVM testbenches, coverage-driven strategies, simulation and debug, and close collaboration with design, architecture, and software teams.

Experience Level

Senior (Staff-level). Typically a senior engineer with significant verification experience and leadership responsibilities.

Responsibilities

Main responsibilities include developing verification plans, building environments, and validating design features.

  • Develop and execute verification plans for complex semiconductor designs.
  • Design and implement UVM-based verification environments and SystemVerilog testbenches.
  • Implement coverage-driven verification strategies and metrics.
  • Run simulations, analyze failures, and perform root-cause analysis using debug tools.
  • Collaborate with design, architecture, and software teams to ensure integration and validation.
  • Mentor and guide other engineers; present technical results to stakeholders.
  • Drive continuous improvement in verification methodologies, tools, processes, and AI initiatives.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and experience; preferred items listed separately.

  • Proven experience in semiconductor design verification.
  • Strong proficiency in SystemVerilog and UVM methodologies.
  • Experience with verification tools such as VCS, Questa, or Synopsys verification tools.
  • Experience developing and debugging complex testbenches and simulations; strong problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with coverage-driven verification and verification metrics.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills; ability to work cross-functionally and deliver on schedule.
  • Demonstrated ability to mentor and elevate team skills.

Nice-to-have:

  • Familiarity with RF data converter subsystems or mixed-signal verification context.
  • Experience applying AI or automation to verification flows.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
