Staff Design Implementation Engineer

The Staff Design Implementation Engineer is responsible for RTL implementation, integration, and sign-off quality delivery of Automotive MCUs. The role includes participating in the full front-end design flow, collaborating with various teams, driving design quality, mentoring engineers, and contributing to methodology improvements.
Experience Level
Mid-level (5-7+ years of experience in MCU/SoC front-end design and implementation, preferably in Automotive MCU development).
Responsibilities
The responsibilities of the Staff Design Implementation Engineer include:
- Implementing MCU IPs or subsystems from architecture and implementation specifications.
- Executing logic synthesis, timing closure, and optimizing performance, area, and power (PPA).
- Conducting design reviews and ensuring design compliance with automotive quality and safety requirements.
- Collaborating with verification, DFT, backend, system, and validation teams.
- Mentoring engineers and contributing to design methodology improvement.
Requirements
Must-have skills and qualifications:
- Strong knowledge of RTL design using Verilog/SystemVerilog.
- Experience with EDA tools and timing closure techniques.
- Understanding of MCU architecture and integration.
- Familiarity with functional safety concepts (ISO 26262) is a plus.
Preferred qualifications include:
- Experience owning IP from specification to silicon.
- Knowledge of DFT concepts and backend constraints.
- Scripting skills for flow automation.
