Job Title

Staff Design Engineer

Role Summary

Responsible for designing, implementing, and verifying digital circuits for memory products, with emphasis on NAND circuit implementation and optimization. The role partners with cross-functional teams to deliver reliable, performance- and power-optimized silicon.

Experience Level

Senior — 7+ years of experience in digital circuit design and development.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include:

  • Interpret device and system specifications to deliver required functionality.
  • Conceive and develop new digital circuits and features; define architecture and composition specifications.
  • Create schematics and RTL blocks; support RTL and synthesized netlist verification at block, subsystem, and full-chip levels.
  • Facilitate netlist bring-up and achieve basic functionality; deliver design simulation including post-layout verification.
  • Design verification plans and validate behavior in Verilog; review silicon results and collaborate on validation plans with Product Engineering.
  • Define and communicate design and verification best practices across the department.
  • Assist in silicon validation, reticle experiments, qualification, and tape-out revisions as needed.

Requirements

Must-have skills and experience:

  • 7+ years of experience in digital circuit design and development.
  • Proven track record of meeting performance, area, and power targets.
  • Experience with RTL and gate-level verification processes and design simulation.
  • Strong collaboration skills working with multi-functional teams.

Nice-to-have:

  • Technical leadership or project management experience.
  • Knowledge of non-volatile memory technologies, particularly NAND.
  • Familiarity with building architecture and verification guidelines.
  • Strong documentation and training skills.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering required. Master’s degree or Ph.D. in Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering preferred.
