Job Title

Staff Design Architect

Role Summary

Design and execute analog and mixed-signal integrated circuits for power management products, with emphasis on automotive, PMIC, and general power regulator solutions. Work across the product development cycle from top-level architecture to silicon validation.

Collaborate with mixed-signal designers and application engineers to define circuit topology, verification and validation plans, and to develop next-generation control topologies.

Experience Level

Senior β€” typically 6+ years of analog circuit design or system application design experience.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include technical leadership of analog/mixed-signal design and coordination across design and applications teams.

  • Define circuit topology and high-level architecture for mixed-signal power-management ICs.
  • Specify analog and digital functional blocks and establish verification plans.
  • Develop new control topologies to advance product generations and meet customer requirements.
  • Participate in full product development cycle from definition through release.
  • Create behavioral models (SIMPLIS) for design analysis and verification.
  • Coordinate silicon validation and advanced application solution development with application engineers.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and domain experience.

  • Extensive analog and power-management IC design or system application design experience.
  • Hands-on experience with power topologies such as buck, boost, buck-boost, high-performance LDOs, switching battery chargers, Vcore multi-phase controllers, LED drivers, or AC-DC converters.
  • Experience with analog and mixed-signal blocks (ADC: SAR or delta-sigma, DAC, AFE, amplifiers, op-amps) is a strong advantage.
  • High-voltage design experience is a plus.
  • Experience developing verification plans and behavioral models (SIMPLIS).
  • Proven ability to work through product development phases and coordinate silicon validation.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.

Education Requirements

PhD or M.S. in Electrical Engineering (MSEE) indicated in the posting; advanced degree in EE or a closely related field is expected.
