Role Summary

Join Marvell's Optical DSP application engineering group to support high-speed optical interconnect products used in cloud, AI and carrier datacenters. The role focuses on customer-facing technical support, system-level debugging, and cross-functional communication between customers, field teams, marketing and engineering.

Experience Level

Senior (Staff) — a senior-level, customer-facing engineering role requiring several years of relevant application or systems experience.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include customer support, issue resolution, and technical liaison activities.

• Provide proactive technical support for Marvell Optical PAM4 DSP products.
• Own and drive customer issues to resolution; coordinate troubleshooting and follow-up.
• Serve as the primary interface between customers and Marvell engineering/marketing.
• Collaborate with field application engineers, line managers, and internal teams to communicate customer needs and reproduce system-level issues.
• Perform lab measurements and system validation to support product adoption and customer deployments.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and experience for successful performance in this role.

• Basic understanding of high-speed PAM4 and NRZ signaling.
• Hands-on experience with high-speed optical and electrical measurements.
• Proficiency in C and Python for automation, test, and analysis.
• Ability to root-cause and debug system-level issues.
• Strong written and verbal communication and collaboration skills for customer engagement.

Nice-to-have:

• Solid understanding of digital signal processing (DSP), analog circuits, and system hardware.
• Extensive hands-on lab experience, strong problem-solving skills, and ability to learn quickly in a fast-paced environment.

Education Requirements

Minimum qualifications listed: Bachelor's degree with 3–5 years of relevant experience, or Master's degree with 2–4 years of relevant experience. The posting does not specify required fields of study or certifications.
