Job Title
Staff Analog/Mixed-Signal Design Engineer
Role Summary
Design, deliver and support analog and mixed-signal IP and circuit blocks for SoC products. The role involves transistor-level design, simulation, silicon bring-up support and cross-functional collaboration with digital design, verification, layout and system teams.
This is a technical leadership position at staff level responsible for driving design quality, mentoring engineers and ensuring successful tapeout and characterization.
Experience Level
Senior (Staff). Years of experience not specified in source.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities expected for this role include:
- Architect and implement analog and mixed-signal circuits and IP blocks to meet performance, power and area targets.
- Create and run transistor-level simulations, analyze results, and iterate on design.
- Participate in layout reviews, DRC/LVS sign-off coordination and provide feedback to layout engineers.
- Lead design reviews, write specifications and maintain design documentation.
- Support silicon bring-up, characterization, debugging and correlation between silicon and models.
- Mentor and guide junior engineers and collaborate with cross-functional teams (digital, verification, test, system).
Requirements
Core requirements and desirable qualifications:
-
Must-have: Proven experience in analog and mixed-signal circuit design and IP development, transistor-level simulation, and silicon bring-up/debug.
-
Must-have: Practical experience with industry-standard EDA tools for schematic capture and simulation (e.g., Cadence/Spectre) and familiarity with layout concepts and sign-off flow.
-
Must-have: Strong problem-solving skills, ability to drive designs to tapeout, and effective communication across disciplines.
-
Nice-to-have: Experience developing IP for SoC, low-power design techniques, leadership of small technical teams, and experience with process variation and reliability analysis.
Education Requirements
