Staff Analog IC Designer
Analog DevicesJob Title
Staff Analog IC Designer
Role Summary
Design and validate analog circuits for power-management ICs, focusing on integrated voltage regulators and PMIC subsystems. Work on design, simulation, test, and layout supervision within an engineering team delivering production mixed-signal ASICs.
Own a subsystem from concept through silicon bring-up and coordinate with layout, verification and test teams to deliver production-quality designs.
Experience Level
Senior-level - requires 8+ years of experience in mixed-signal IC design.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include design, verification, and validation of analog PMIC subsystems.
- Own and deliver a subsystem end-to-end.
- Design and develop analog circuits for integrated voltage regulators.
- Perform simulations and analyses to meet specifications and optimize performance.
- Create and execute test plans; perform bench evaluation and debugging.
- Supervise layout development and coordinate with layout engineers.
- Document designs and communicate status to cross-functional teams.
- Travel as required (approximately 10%).
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and experience.
- 8+ years of experience in mixed-signal IC design.
- Strong knowledge of analog circuit design principles and methodologies.
- Experience with PMIC or integrated voltage regulator design.
- Proficiency with Cadence design and verification tools.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to debug at the bench.
- Good verbal and written communication; ability to lead a subsystem.
Education Requirements
MS or PhD in Electrical Engineering (degree explicitly specified in the posting); emphasis on analog/mixed-signal or related IC design experience. No certifications listed.
