Job Title
Staff Analog Design Engineer
Role Summary
Senior analog/mixed-signal IC design role on the CAC group developing next-generation, high-performance optical controller products. The role focuses on PMIC (DC-DC) or data converter (ADC/DAC) circuit design and requires ownership of architecture through transistor-level implementation.
Onsite in Singapore (Kallang). The position involves cross-functional collaboration with layout, lab evaluation, testing, qualification, and product engineering teams to deliver production-quality silicon.
Experience Level
Senior (Staff/Principal level). The posting targets experienced engineers; years of experience not specified.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include:
- Lead detailed definition and architectural development of high-performance mixed-signal ICs; drive system-level trade-offs and transistor-level design decisions.
- Own architecture definition, block-level design, and transistor-level circuit implementation, including full-cycle simulation and verification.
- Develop product objective specifications such as die size, package, pinout, block diagrams, and electrical specifications.
- Support layout, lab evaluation, testing, qualification, and product engineering to ensure delivery meets requirements and quality goals.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and mentor junior engineers.
- Willingness to travel for work-related activities (approximately 10%).
Requirements
Must-have and preferred technical skills:
-
Must-have: Design experience with switching power supply circuits (PMIC/DC-DC) or precision ADC/DAC design.
-
Must-have: Proven ability to perform architecture, block-level and transistor-level design and verification for mixed-signal ICs.
-
Must-have: Strong communication and problem-solving skills; ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
-
Nice-to-have: Experience integrating analog blocks (converters, power management) into complex microcontroller systems.
-
Nice-to-have: Deep understanding of semiconductor device structure and fabrication processes.
Education Requirements
MS or PhD in Electrical Engineering with experience in analog/mixed-signal IC development (as stated in the posting).
