SRAM Software Engineer Intern, BS - Summer 2027
Role Summary
Join Marvell’s Central Engineering Foundational IP team in Burlington, VT to develop software infrastructure, tooling, and optimization systems for custom SRAM used in SoC designs. Work with circuit designers to deliver memory IP, design kits, and optimization solutions for high-performance products.
Paid internship; expected base pay range USD $30–$59 per hour. This position may require access to export-controlled technology and applicants must be eligible under applicable U.S. export laws.
Experience Level
Entry-level (Internship). Intended for current undergraduate students; graduation timing is specified in Education Requirements.
Responsibilities
Typical responsibilities include:
- Integrate PPA (power, performance, area) data into design kits for leading-edge technologies.
- Develop systems and tooling to optimize SRAM memory solutions and streamline memory selection for SoC designers.
- Analyze, summarize, document, and present characterization and optimization results to internal stakeholders.
- Work in command-line and Linux-based environments and collaborate with circuit design teams.
Requirements
Must-have:
- Scripting experience (Perl, Python, Bash) in a command-line environment.
- Experience working in a Linux environment.
- Experience with version control systems (Git, GitHub).
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team and strong verbal and written communication skills.
Nice-to-have:
- Experience with functional programming (Clojure desirable) or Java.
- Familiarity with SRAM architecture and basic circuit-design skills (digital logic, transistor fundamentals).
- Previous semiconductor industry experience.
Education Requirements
Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field; expected graduation between Fall 2027 and Summer 2028.
