Job Title

SRAM / NVM DFT Technologist

Role Summary

Lead development of post-silicon memory test solutions and DFT architectures for SRAM and NVM technologies (including MRAM and RRAM). Deliver end-to-end test strategies from design insertion through silicon validation and high-volume manufacturing while balancing automotive quality and cost-of-test.

Experience Level

Senior level β€” requires extensive hands-on experience. The posting specifies 15+ years across the silicon lifecycle, DFT design, implementation, validation, and post-silicon characterization to HVM.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include architecture, implementation, and validation of memory test solutions and coordination across design, ATE, and product teams.

  • Define and deploy end-to-end DFT/test architecture for SRAM and NVM from design insertion through silicon validation and HVM.
  • Develop and optimize SRAM/NVM test strategies to balance coverage, test time, and yield learning.
  • Customize testing solutions to meet customer quality and cost targets; support NVM selection and tradeoffs.
  • Own post-silicon test planning: validation vectors, ATE correlation, and silicon bring-up strategies.
  • Interface with design, verification, product engineering, and ATE teams to ensure smooth handoff from simulation to tester.
  • Develop automated test programs and diagnostic scripts for wafer sort, package test, and system-level characterization.
  • Analyze silicon test data for root-cause isolation, yield improvement, and continuous methodology refinement.
  • Document test specifications, qualification methodologies, and re-use frameworks.
  • Coach and mentor less experienced staff and act as a technical leader; support reliability testing and failure analysis activities.
  • Perform work in compliance with Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills, tools, and experience for the role.

  • Proven expert in MBIST and NVM testing with a record of driving EDA vendor improvements and engaging with customers to debug silicon issues.
  • Hands-on post-silicon debug experience, ATE vector bring-up (examples: Teradyne, Advantest), and yield analysis.
  • Ability to correlate pre-silicon and production test environments, including diagnostic log analysis and tester pattern debug.
  • Proficiency with major EDA tools (Synopsys, Cadence, Siemens/Mentor) and scripting (Python, Perl, TCL).
  • Strong understanding of test coverage metrics, fault simulation, and data-driven test improvement methods.
  • Excellent technical leadership, planning, and cross-functional communication skills.
  • Nice-to-have: strategic mindset on full-lifecycle test, experience driving test-time reduction and cost-effective HVM solutions, and proactive evaluation of automation and tooling opportunities.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field is required (as stated in the posting).
