Sr Validation Engineer
Role Summary
Validate Power Management ICs (PMICs) in the lab: derive validation techniques from functional specifications, create test plans, build test benches and boards, implement test cases in software, execute automated and manual tests, analyze results, and produce validation reports.
Work within a cross-site Validation Automation Group to increase automation of validation suites for Digital Power products; collaborate with circuit designers, applications engineers, software, and QA.
Experience Level

Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include planning, implementing, and executing validation for PMICs and improving automation.
- Understand IC functional specifications and derive validation strategies and test plans.
- Design and build test bench setups and PCB-level hardware for validation.
- Implement test cases and lab automation scripts (Python) and maintain reusable software frameworks.
- Execute test suites, gather and analyze measurement data, and produce validation reports.
- Design open and extendable hardware for automated test environments.
- Debug failures, perform root-cause analysis, and propose corrective actions.
- Collaborate with multi-disciplinary and multi-site teams; communicate results clearly to internal and customer stakeholders.
- Deliver results on schedule; accept occasional international travel.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and attributes.
- Post-silicon bench validation experience (2β5 years as listed).
- Knowledge of power management applications for consumer electronics.
- Familiarity with voltage regulators (Buck, Buck-Boost, LDO), key parameters, and measurement methods.
- Proven lab automation experience and ability to improve manual techniques.
- Board-level analog and digital circuit design expertise for PCB schematic creation.
- Proficiency in Python, especially for lab automation and instrument control.
- Strong debugging and root-cause analysis skills; ability to work with minimal instructions.
- Concise, precise verbal and written communication in English.

- Flexibility for occasional international travel.
Education Requirements
University degree in Electronics Engineering or a related discipline.
