Sr. Test Engineer
Role Summary
The Sr. Test Engineer is the technical owner for the test program and the local test expert for the Kaohsiung site. This role drives test improvements, debugs production and ATE issues, and delivers manufacturable test solutions in collaboration with product engineering and the business line.
Experience Level
Senior - typically 7+ years of relevant semiconductor test or production experience.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include:
- Own and maintain the test program and act as the local technical expert.
- Drive and deliver test improvements: reduce test cost, improve coverage, increase yield, and improve test efficiency and flexibility.
- Debug and perform root-cause analysis for customer returns, ATE failures, and production issues.
- Understand device behavior and functionality to design effective debugging and test solutions.
- Work with product engineering to release test programs and test hardware.
- Coordinate with the Business Line to meet time-to-market, cost, and business requirements.
- Manage test hardware/software changes for test house transfers or conversions to new test platforms.
Requirements
Must-have skills and experience:
- Proven experience as a test program owner in a semiconductor test environment; ATE experience preferred.
- Strong debugging and root-cause analysis skills for ATE and production issues.
- Experience implementing test hardware and software changes and managing platform or test house transfers.
- Ability to translate device behavior into practical test solutions.
- Effective cross-functional collaboration with product engineering and business teams.
Nice-to-have:
- Experience leading projects to optimize test cost, coverage, and yield.
