Sr Staff/Staff/Senior Engineer–SoC Design Verification

The Verification Engineer will be responsible for various verification tasks including Test Plan creation, Testcase creation, Coverage closure, Requirements traceability, and Gate Level Simulation. The role includes reviewing system requirements and tracking quality assurance metrics to ensure product safety and correctness.
Experience Level
Mid-level (5-12 years of experience).
Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include:
- Drive Verification R&D technical execution and methodologies for advanced microcontrollers and processors.
- Collaborate with system architects to verify specifications.
- Work with EDA vendors for next-generation tools.
- Enhance collaboration with other R&D teams to achieve project milestones.
- Promote continuous improvement to design techniques for ‘Zero Defect’ chips.
- Develop and track SoC verification execution plans and milestones.
- Ensure SoC verification quality sign-offs for team deliverables.
- Lead the development of best-in-class verification methodologies.
Requirements
Must-have qualifications include:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in electronics engineering.
- 5-12 years of experience in SoC Verification domains.
- Expertise in Microcontroller and Microprocessor architecture & Interconnect.
- Knowledge of various protocols, EDA toolkits, and advanced programming languages.
- Proven experience in testbench design using UVM methodology.
- Excellent communication skills.
Nice-to-have qualifications include:
- Exposure to formal verification and hybrid verification flows.
- Experience with low-power verification.
- Familiarity with communication IPs and reusable VIPs.
Education Requirements
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in electronics engineering.
