Role Summary
The Sr Staff/Staff/Senior Engineer role in IP Design Verification at Renesas focuses on ensuring successful SOC verification through the development of verification environments and strategies. This position plays a critical part in the Verification R&D team, responsible for key tasks surrounding the verification of next-generation microcontrollers and microprocessors.
Experience Level
Mid-Career; 5-12 years of experience in SoC Verification domains.
Responsibilities
The responsibilities of this role include:
- End-to-end SOC verification execution for complex digital IPs and subsystems.
- Define IP-level verification strategies, including test plans and closure criteria.
- Develop reusable UVM-based verification environments.
- Lead various types of coverage closures, ensuring high-quality sign-offs.
- Apply AI/ML-assisted techniques to improve verification processes.
- Collaborate with RTL, Architecture, and Verification teams for seamless IP integration.
- Mentor junior engineers and promote verification best practices.
- Support post-silicon debug and low-power verification as needed.
Requirements
Key requirements for this position include:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electronics Engineering.
- Strong expertise in UVM-based testbench architecture.
- Experience in handling industry-standard EDA toolkits.
- Proficient in Verilog/SystemVerilog with knowledge in C/C++ and Shell scripting.
- Experience in metric-driven verification practices.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Education Requirements
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electronics Engineering.
