Sr Staff Project/Program Manager
Role Summary
Lead chip development projects within the Analog & Mixed-Signal Product Group Central PMO, owning delivery from kick-off through customer release. Manage cross-functional, geographically distributed teams to meet schedule, budget, quality and manufacturability targets while aligning with Renesas global methodologies.
Experience Level
Senior. Requires about 5–7+ years in the semiconductor industry with 3–5+ years of hands-on technical program/project management leading mixed-signal analog product development and NPI activities.
Responsibilities
Own and drive assigned SPD (Standard Products Division) chip development projects and program portfolio activities.
- Define and execute project plans, schedules, budgets and deliverables.
- Lead cross-functional teams across locations; act as primary point of contact for assigned projects.
- Track metrics/KPIs (schedule, risks, scope, budget, cost entitlement, manufacturability) and report status to leadership.
- Support annual operating planning, forecasting and program spending alignment.
- Identify and remove execution roadblocks; mitigate risks and escalate early.
- Promote disciplined project practices, continuous improvement and knowledge sharing across business groups.
- Coordinate with demand creation, sales and marketing to align sample and priority schedules with market needs.
- Prepare and present project status at management decision reviews and cross-functional progress reviews.
Requirements
Must-have technical and interpersonal qualifications for immediate effectiveness; nice-to-have items listed separately.

Must-have: Fluent in English and Japanese for cross-cultural communication.

Must-have: Experience in NPI/product development functions (product, test, validation, design, quality or related).

Must-have: Proven track record delivering projects on schedule, within budget and meeting quality targets; strong risk mitigation and escalation skills.

Must-have: Proficiency with project tools such as MS Project, Jira, SharePoint, FMEA and root cause analysis methods.

Nice-to-have: PMP certification.

Nice-to-have: Exposure to automotive processes and manufacturing considerations.
Education Requirements
Bachelor of Science in Electrical or Electronics Engineering required/preferred; Master’s or PhD in Electrical Engineering preferred.
