Role Summary

The Sr. Digital Design Engineer is responsible for the design and development of digital and mixed-signal integrated circuits (ICs). This role entails using cutting-edge technologies and industry-standard ASIC tools to create products such as power management and signal management ICs.

Experience Level

Senior level; requires a minimum of 5 to 8 years of experience in digital ASIC design.

Responsibilities

Main responsibilities include:

  • Defining and documenting digital architecture.
  • Performing RTL design, debugging, and verification.
  • Conducting verification metrics analysis.
  • Defining, developing, integrating, and verifying IP.
  • Managing synthesis, timing, I/O, and DFT constraints; analyzing results and reports.
  • Providing support for P&R with MMMC definition and debugging.
  • Implementing DFT, debugging, and analyzing reports.
  • Generating and simulating ATPG.
  • Performing gate-level verification and power simulations.
  • Conducting timing analysis and sign-off.
  • Supporting AMS verification and post-silicon validation.
  • Collaborating with other departments for product definition.

Requirements

Essential qualifications include:

  • BSEE with 8 years of experience or MSEE with 5 years in digital ASIC design.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Thorough knowledge of the entire ASIC development process.
  • Proficiency in RTL Verilog or System Verilog coding.
  • Familiarity with standard Digital Verification languages (System Verilog, UVM).
  • Strong understanding of backend processes: Synthesis, P&R, DFT, Power, LEC, and STA.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Knowledge of automotive standards and embedded designs is a plus.
  • Experience with I2C, I3C, SPI, USB, PMBUS, FPGA design, ARM designs, and scripting languages like TCL, Phyton, C/C++ is advantageous.

Education Requirements

BSEE is required; MSEE is preferred.
