Sr Staff Analog Engineer

Role Summary

Hands-on senior analog engineer responsible for block- and top-level design of Power Management ICs (PMICs). Works with block leads, layout, test and product teams to deliver designs from specification through silicon validation and mass production.

Experience Level

Senior - approximately 10 years of analog and/or mixed-signal IC design experience is expected.

Responsibilities

Primary technical and delivery responsibilities for analog blocks in PMIC products.

• Design, verify, and simulate CMOS analog blocks for PMICs, including switching converters (isolated and non-isolated), power FETs and gate drivers, ADCs/DACs, oscillators, bandgap references, LDOs, and ultra-low-power circuits.
• Define and execute system- and block-level design strategies in coordination with block leads.
• Provide guidance to layout engineers to ensure correct implementation and performance.
• Lead silicon bring-up, debugging, characterization, lab evaluation, and validation activities.
• Collaborate with DFT, Test, Application, and Product Engineering to support test development and product ramp to mass production.
• Take technical ownership of analog blocks from specification through production and coach junior engineers.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and experience; a concise list of preferred additional skills follows.

• Extensive experience designing analog blocks for Power Management ICs (PMICs).
• Hands-on experience with switching converters (non-isolated and/or isolated), power FETs, and gate-driver circuits.
• Experience designing ADCs, DACs, oscillators, bandgap reference circuits, and LDO regulators.
• Proven ability to lead silicon bring-up, debugging, and characterization to validate designs.
• Ability to collaborate across layout, DFT, test, application, and product teams and to mentor less-experienced engineers.
• Approximately 10 years of analog and/or mixed-signal IC design experience.

Nice-to-have:

• Ultra-low quiescent current (Ultra-Low IQ) circuit design experience.
• High-voltage analog design experience.
• Experience supporting mass-production ramp and test development.
