Sr Staff AE for Physical Implementation RTL-GDS

Role Summary

This position involves utilizing Synopsys implementation tools to tackle critical design challenges faced by customers in the semiconductor industry. The role focuses on enhancing Quality of Results (QOR) metrics to meet performance targets.

Experience Level

Mid-level, with at least 5+ years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

The Staff Engineer, Application Engineering will be responsible for:

• Utilizing Synopsys implementation technologies to address complex PPA challenges.
• Benchmarking against competitors' implementation solutions.
• Developing and debugging RTL-GDS implementation methodologies and flows.
• Providing technical solutions for design and EDA tool issues.
• Translating findings into requirements for R&D tool enhancements.
• Facilitating the deployment of new technologies and assisting customer migration to newer EDA versions.
• Identifying customer pain points and proposing innovative solutions.
• Collaborating closely with Synopsys R&D and product development teams.
• Acting as a customer advocate while interacting with in-house R&D.
• Serving as a product brand ambassador during customer engagements.

Requirements

The candidate should meet the following requirements:

• At least 5+ years of experience in Physical Implementation RTL-GDS.
• Experience in debugging and resolving synthesis and place & route implementation challenges.
• Good exposure to methodology changes to target PPA metrics for complex designs.
• Proficiency in Synopsys implementation tools is a plus.
• Self-motivated and excellent debugging skills are essential.
• Proficiency in scripting languages (TCL, Unix, Perl).
• Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with customers and teams.
