Sr. RTL Design Engineer – DDR/LPDDR Memory Controller
Role Summary
Design RTL for DDR/LPDDR memory controller IP, collaborate with architects, verification, and implementation teams, and deliver silicon-ready IP optimized for power, performance, and area.
Team: Memory Controller Design. Locations include Austin, TX; Boxborough, MA; Vancouver, BC. This role is hybrid and is not eligible for visa sponsorship.

Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities:
- Work with architects to define and implement IP microarchitecture features.
- Develop RTL (Verilog/SystemVerilog) for IP features and participate in design and code reviews.
- Analyze and optimize designs for power, performance, and area.
- Perform lint, CDC, and timing analysis; support synthesis and implementation flows.
- Collaborate with verification engineers to validate, debug, and deliver IP through the project lifecycle.
Requirements
Core skills and competencies (must-have vs. nice-to-have):
- Must-have: Experience with digital logic design and proficiency in Verilog and/or SystemVerilog.
- Must-have: Scripting experience (Python, Perl, or Tcl) for automation and debug tasks.
- Must-have: Familiarity with EDA tools and flows (simulation, lint, synthesis) and ability to analyze/debug RTL.
- Nice-to-have: Experience with DDR or LPDDR memory systems and digital logic verification methodologies.
- Nice-to-have: Understanding of computer architecture and prior work optimizing power, performance, and area.
- Strong written and verbal communication; ability to work independently and collaboratively across global teams.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
