Job Title

Sr. RTL Design Engineer

Role Summary

Responsible for RTL design and delivery of PCIe IP used across AMD server, client, GPU and semi‑custom products. Accountable for RTL implementation, timing and quality closure, verification support, and silicon bring‑up.

Work with IP and system architects, verification engineers, and silicon teams to define features and ensure production readiness, including deploying AI‑generated/assisted RTL solutions where applicable.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Design and implement IP RTL for PCIe and related high-speed I/O used across AMD products.
  • Collaborate with IP and system architects to define micro-architecture and new features.
  • Apply low-power design techniques while maintaining system performance.
  • Drive timing closure and resolve lint and CDC issues to ensure high-quality RTL.
  • Support verification, debug, and silicon bring-up through project phases.
  • Integrate and validate AI-generated/assisted RTL solutions in production flows to improve productivity and quality.

Requirements

  • Must-have: Hands-on RTL design and implementation experience; strong Verilog HDL coding skills; experience with multiple clock domains; experience using lint and CDC tools; experience in timing closure, verification support, and silicon debug/bring-up; strong collaboration and communication skills.
  • Preferred: Strong experience integrating AI-assisted design methodologies into semiconductor design flows; understanding of high-speed I/O protocols (PCIe, USB, SATA, Ethernet); experience developing specifications.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering.
