Sr Product Engineer

Role Summary

Responsible for sustaining mass-produced power IC products after product launch by managing product lifecycle, resolving production and customer issues, and driving cost and yield improvements. Works with design, test, manufacturing, quality, reliability and subcontractors to maintain product quality, reliability and manufacturability.

Experience Level

Senior. The posting specifies a minimum of 3 years' experience in Product Engineering.

Responsibilities

Primary sustaining-engineering and manufacturing support duties:

• Manage lifecycle and production continuity for multiple high-volume products across internal factories and subcontractors (OSATs).
• Drive COGS and process improvements: yield, volume, test time and failure-rate reductions.
• Support PCRB (Process Change Review Board) activities: product qualification, second‑source/material changes, process migrations.
• Investigate and disposition abnormal or low-yield production lots and other production issues.
• Interface with Operations, QA, Reliability, factory and OSAT partners to resolve manufacturing and test issues.
• Analyze product performance and failure modes; support customer returns (RMA/FA) and reliability actions.

Requirements

Must-have skills and attributes:

• Minimum of 3 years' experience in Product Engineering.
• Onsite work required at the Bayan Lepas site.
• Proficient in data manipulation and analysis; familiarity with tools such as JMP and PDF Exenso is a plus.
• Familiarity with integrated circuit / semiconductor manufacturing processes.
• Strong product-management mindset with attention to cost, ROI and operational efficiency.
• Good verbal and written communication skills in English.
• Self-motivated, adaptable, with good time-management skills.

Nice-to-have:

• Product test knowledge and test-process improvement experience.
• Knowledge of ICs or modules such as drivers and power stages.
• Experience with NPI / development product engineering.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical/Electronic), Physics, Computer Science or a related technical field (as stated in the posting).
