Job Title

Sr. Process Integration Engineer, SAW R&D

Role Summary

Senior process integration engineer supporting SAW (surface acoustic wave) research and development. The role focuses on developing, integrating, and transferring MEMS and thin-film processes from R&D into high-volume semiconductor manufacturing.

Works with process engineering, design engineering and manufacturing teams to improve device performance, enable wafer-level packaging, and diversify the product portfolio.

Experience Level

Senior. Experience level listed as professional; no specific years of experience stated.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include leading process integration for SAW devices and enabling technology transfer into production.

  • Develop and integrate MEMS and thin-film processes for SAW devices.
  • Transfer processes from R&D to high-volume semiconductor manufacturing.
  • Provide process integration support across process engineering, design engineering, and manufacturing teams.
  • Support development and integration of SAW resonators on bonded wafer substrates and wafer-level packages.
  • Document process flows, perform troubleshooting, and present technical results to peers and stakeholders.

Requirements

Must-have technical experience and skills; plus a list of desirable (nice-to-have) qualifications.

  • Must-have: Experience in the semiconductor or MEMS industry as a process integration or technology development engineer.
  • Must-have: Experience developing and transferring processes from R&D to high-volume manufacturing.
  • Must-have: Knowledge of standard semiconductor processing techniques (PVD, CVD, lithography, etch, CMP); hands-on process experience preferred.
  • Must-have: Strong communication skills for presenting technical information to peers and stakeholders.
  • Nice-to-have: Prior SAW or other acoustic device experience.
  • Nice-to-have: Knowledge of acoustics for thin-film materials or materials physics.
  • Nice-to-have: Experience or coursework in MEMS and thin-film integration.
  • Nice-to-have: Programming skills such as MATLAB or Python.

Education Requirements

PhD in Physics, Materials Science & Engineering, or a related field. Coursework in MEMS, thin-film integration, or thin films for acoustic devices is listed as a positive.
