Sr. Principal Product Program Manager – Software and Digital Platforms
Analog DevicesJob Title
Sr. Principal Product Program Manager – Software and Digital Platforms
Role Summary
Lead end-to-end product program execution for complex NPI programs that span hardware, software, tools, applications, and product engineering. Serve as the single integrated program owner from program initiation through post-silicon bring-up and Release to Sales (RTS).
The role drives cross-functional alignment of scope, schedule, resources, costs, risks, and dependencies, and provides consolidated program reporting and decisions to business stakeholders.
Experience Level
Senior-level. Significant experience leading complex semiconductor, SoC, embedded-system, or platform product development programs; no specific years of experience stated.
Responsibilities
Provide unified, product-level program leadership and ensure on-time, validated product release.
- Consolidate and maintain the integrated product plan: scope, schedules, resources, costs, milestones, and deliverables across hardware, software, tools, applications, and product engineering.
- Drive cross-functional planning alignment and resolve conflicts between functional plans before they impact commitments.
- Maintain and govern the end-to-end execution schedule, critical-path milestones, dependencies, and handoffs.
- Orchestrate post-silicon bring-up: validation, characterization, qualification, software enablement, and product release readiness.
- Coordinate wafer starts, silicon availability, engineering samples, and material readiness with Operations and Manufacturing.
- Identify program risks and drive mitigation, recovery actions, and escalation when needed.
- Provide concise, fact-based executive reporting and a single view of product readiness and program health to the Vertical Business Unit.
- Integrate NPI execution with portfolio planning, prioritization, capacity planning, and financial tracking.
Requirements
Minimum technical and program-management capabilities required to perform the role.
- Proven track record leading large cross-functional programs in a matrixed engineering organization.
- Deep understanding of the product-development lifecycle including architecture, silicon development, software, tools, applications, characterization, qualification, and product release.
- Experience managing integrated schedules, resource plans, budgets, dependencies, risks, and executive-level program reporting.
- Strong executive communication, stakeholder management, negotiation, and influencing skills; ability to drive accountability without direct reporting authority.
- Experience with cross-functional handoffs and coordinating enablement (hardware availability, FPGA readiness, validation platforms, software integration).
- Proven ability to deliver consolidated assessments for leadership and to drive tradeoffs and recovery plans.
- Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time.
- Preferred: experience with semiconductor NPI execution, post-silicon bring-up, global engineering organizations, portfolio governance, business-case development, capacity planning, and financial tracking.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, computer science, or a related technical discipline is required. An advanced technical or business degree is preferred.
