Work with design, test, and customer teams to define and execute metric-driven verification plans, develop tests and models, and improve verification methodology. This role is available in San Jose, CA and Richardson, TX.
Experience Level
Senior - requires extensive experience. The posting asks for 15+ years of relevant AMS design or verification experience (or equivalent advanced education and experience).
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include planning, implementing, and executing verification for complex mixed-signal power ICs and supporting team and customer needs.
- Serve as customer-facing verification lead for catalog and custom power-management ICs (motor drivers, power-loss protection, point-of-load, battery management).
- Develop and execute metric-driven verification plans from functional, performance, and test specifications, emphasizing customer use-cases.
- Create constrained-random tests and automated checkers in a TLDV UVM environment.
- Build high-performance RNM or Verilog-AMS models to support transaction-level simulation.
- Collaborate with design and test teams to identify and resolve issues and ensure first-pass testability.
- Improve and align verification methodologies with industry best practices and automate verification tasks where applicable.
- Occasional domestic or international travel (approximately 10% or less).

Must-have skills and experience follow. Preferred items are listed separately.
Must-have:
- 15+ years experience in AMS design or verification of analog and power-management ICs (equivalent advanced education and experience acceptable).
- Proficiency with UVM environments, including test cases, coverage models, and global checkers.
- Deep knowledge of power-management building blocks: LDOs, amplifiers, bandgaps, DC-DC regulators, oscillators, and asynchronous state machines.
- Expertise with mixed-signal simulation and verification: Spice/Spectre, event-based simulators, co-simulation, simulation and silicon debug.
- Strong problem-solving, debugging, communication, and collaboration skills.
Nice-to-have:
- Top-down design methodology experience.
- Shell or Python scripting for automation.
