Role Summary

The Senior Pre-Silicon Performance Validation Engineer at Amazon Lab126 will be responsible for validating and verifying the performance of complex silicon designs during the pre-silicon phase. This role ensures that chip designs meet high performance, power, and functionality requirements before tape-out.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include:

  • Designing and executing comprehensive validation strategies for silicon performance.
  • Developing test plans that verify performance against design specifications.
  • Creating and maintaining validation infrastructure including test benches and performance models.
  • Identifying performance bottlenecks and collaborating with design teams for optimizations.
  • Establishing validation methodologies and best practices across the organization.
  • Providing feedback to design teams on performance optimization opportunities.
  • Collaborating with external partners on validation activities.

Requirements

Applicants must possess the following qualifications:

  • 7+ years of UVM, C, System C, and scripting experience.
  • Deep understanding of digital design principles and pre-silicon performance validation methodologies.
  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field.
  • Proficiency with industry-standard tools including RTL simulators and emulation platforms.
  • Strong programming skills in Python, C/C++, and SystemVerilog.
