Senior Leader, Pathfinding & Strategy - Technology and Product Group (ITP)
Role Summary
Lead the ITP Pathfinding and Strategy team to define and execute full-stack pathfinding and technology strategies across Micron’s memory and product lines. Synthesize technical, business, and ecosystem insights to identify high-impact innovation opportunities and enable transfer of pathfinding results into product execution.
This role partners with engineering, business units, corporate strategy, manufacturing, customers, startups, universities, and government research organizations to prioritize a pipeline of disruptive solutions and influence Micron’s strategic direction.
Experience Level
Senior-level. 10–15 years of progressive leadership experience in technology, product development, or systems engineering with a focus on memory and storage.
Responsibilities
Lead strategy, technical direction, and cross-functional engagement to advance disruptive memory and storage technologies and ensure successful technology transfer to products.
- Define and execute end-to-end pathfinding vision spanning process technology, component design, and systems pathfinding to de-risk innovations.
- Maintain close collaboration with engineering execution teams to facilitate technology transfer and product intercept.
- Develop and implement ITP technical strategy aligned with Micron’s strengths and growth opportunities.
- Align and advocate ITP’s direction with business units, corporate strategy, and manufacturing stakeholders.
- Build and manage external partnerships with customers, start-ups, universities, and government research partners to inform strategy.
- Lead, mentor, and grow a senior technical team; drive engagement and talent development.
- Focus technical resources on solutions that address customer and ecosystem challenges for competitive advantage.
- Champion application of AI and data-driven methods to increase R&D efficiency and decision quality.

- Must-have: 10–15 years of progressive leadership in technology, product development, or systems engineering with demonstrated focus on memory and storage technologies.
- Must-have: Proven track record of delivering innovation and translating strategic vision into actionable technology roadmaps across multiple product lines.
- Must-have: Experience leading large, diverse technical teams and driving organizational change.
- Must-have: Demonstrated success managing complex, multi-year technical initiatives and multi-stakeholder partnerships.
- Must-have: Deep technical expertise in memory, storage, or semiconductor technologies and strong analytical/problem-solving skills.
- Must-have: Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and collaboration skills.
- Must-have: Experience with program/project management and change management methodologies.
- Nice-to-have: Experience applying AI to R&D or engineering workflows.
- Nice-to-have: Prior experience working with start-ups, universities, or government research partners.
Education Requirements
Bachelor’s, Master’s or PhD degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field.
