Responsibilities

The role combines technical integration work, project leadership with IMEC, and stakeholder communication.

  • Learn and transfer 3D heterogeneous integration processes (die-to-wafer bonding, wafer-to-wafer bonding, etc.) from IMEC to GF R&D.
  • Understand system architectures and requirements to develop 3D packaging solutions for domains such as AI, silicon photonics transceivers/interposers, and RF interposers.
  • Own and drive bilateral projects between GlobalFoundries and IMEC; organize and lead joint-development projects and technology transfer activities.
  • Build and maintain relationships with 3D materials and tooling vendors.
  • Contribute to intellectual property (invention disclosures), publications, and conference presentations.
